FULL ACKNOWLEDGMENT — PROGRAM UNDERSTANDING
By checking this box, you confirm that you understand the following core principles of the SolarReady Tucson program:
THE READINESS-FIRST APPROACH:
SRT is NOT a solar installation program. SRT is a home readiness program that helps households become ready for solar — and solar is the final step, not the first.
THE PATHWAY:
Your home may need to go through one or more of these steps before solar can be offered:
• Lane 0 — Stabilization: Addressing urgent issues like shutoff notices, bill arrears, or safety hazards
• Lane 1 — Repairs: Fixing roof, structural, or electrical issues that must be resolved before solar
• Lane 2 — Weatherization: Reducing your energy use first so solar is more cost-effective
• Lane 3 — Panel Upgrade: Ensuring your electrical panel can support solar
• Lane 4 — Solar Installation: Only offered when your home is ready AND it will save you money
• Lane 4B — Community Solar: An alternative if rooftop solar is not right for your home
THE NO-NEW-BURDEN STANDARD:
Solar will ONLY be offered to you if we can confirm it will reduce your total monthly energy costs. If solar would increase your costs — even slightly — we will not offer it. This is our No-New-Burden commitment to every SRT participant.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU:
• The process may take time — some homes need multiple steps before reaching solar
• There is no guarantee of solar installation — your home must meet all readiness criteria
• All services provided along the way (repairs, weatherization) are part of the program benefit
• You will be kept informed at every step and asked for your consent before any work begins
